making history: historic winter park
Working with Historic Winter Park: a driving tour, a document from the Winter Park History Archives, Barnes has updated images and text with an expanded perspective on marginalized and unacknowledged histories. Begun during quarantine, this project is ongoing as materials are added to this interactive, multimodal archive.
A conversation in image + text between Nikki Fragala Barnes and Wendy Wakeman. The two writer-artists have traveled together and to one another. Prevented from travel during the C19 pandemic, this collaborative conversation began in late 2020 and continues. An experiment that questions what spaces can we share by seeing into one another’s world.
